Introduction

Who We Are

The Taiwan Smart Solutions Association (TSSA, branded "TSS") was founded in 2021 by nearly 100 founding members spanning core technology providers in semiconductors, AI, cloud services, digital twins, and 5G private network solutions. TSSA pioneered a low-risk, low-cost model that helps Taiwanese companies enter targeted international markets — combining digital twin and RVR (Remote Virtual Reality) technology with AIoT and cloud services to support local operating partners abroad. This is a uniquely Taiwanese business model, and TSSA was the first industry association to build it.

Operating under the core brand identity “Powered by TSS©,” TSSA connects Taiwan's IoT and smart-solution providers with local partners in cities around the world, forging substantive international cooperation. We are Taiwan's first and most forward-looking industry association to establish this kind of innovative international partnership model.

Guided by the principles of sustainability, intelligence, security, greenness, and resilience, and committed to helping members enter targeted international markets at low risk and low cost, TSSA leads its members into new blue-ocean opportunities in the global smart city market under the principle of Glocalization.

Entering the AI Agent Era: A Twin-Transformation Mission

In 2026, AI Agents are redefining how enterprises operate — automating workflows, coordinating across systems, and enabling real-time decision-making. This is not merely a technology upgrade; it is a reshuffling of industrial competitiveness. TSSA stands at this inflection point, integrating two tracks that once ran in parallel — green transformation and digital transformation — into a single growth path for our members.

ü   Digital Track: Helping members adopt generative AI, AI Agents, and digital twin technologies to enhance operational efficiency and decision intelligence

ü   Green Track: Supporting members through ISO carbon verification and net-zero compliance guidance, balancing sustainable growth with international regulatory requirements

We believe that companies seeking to win in the new blue-ocean market of global smart cities must master both tracks simultaneously — this is the core value that distinguishes TSSA from conventional trade associations.

A Bridge Between Government, Industry, and International Markets

TSSA serves as a bridge connecting government, industry, and international markets:

ü   Internally: Helping members navigate government industrial guidance and subsidy strategies, facilitating participation, strengthening overall industry competitiveness, and proposing relevant policy and regulatory recommendations to government bodies on industrial policy and business challenges.

ü   Externally: Delivering internationally localized smart solutions built on integrated, Taiwan-developed core technology (“Taiwan Inside”), helping partner nations upgrade their technology industries, increase high-tech output and employment, and replicating this model across other countries and cities in the region — extending Taiwan's smart applications into new international blue-ocean markets.

International Cooperation Network

TSSA operates under the guidance of the International Economic Cooperation Association of the Republic of China (IECA). In countries where IECA has established bilateral economic cooperation relationships or signed memoranda of understanding, TSSA carries out substantive smart-application cooperation projects accordingly.

ü   Smart city cooperation agreements signed with: Slovakia, Hungary, Denmark, Poland, Indonesia, and South Africa

ü   Cooperation discussions underway with: Malaysia, Czech Republic, Finland, Netherlands, India, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Turkey, Australia, and the United States

How We Operate: Smart Solution Working Groups

Our team is committed to excellence — delivering high-quality, responsive, and comprehensive service to help members grow sustainably, create added value, and achieve the highest member satisfaction among professional associations.

Association operations are fully delegated to our working groups. TSSA maintains Smart Solution Working Groups, each led by a convener and composed of member companies and subject-matter experts. These groups respond in real time to needs surfaced by our overseas Taiwan Smart Experience Centers and partner organizations, rapidly developing customized smart solutions and partnering with local stakeholders to enter regional markets. Each working group also contributes industry-specific insights and proposals, voicing member concerns and pursuing effective collaboration strategies across government, industry, and academia.
